CLA Excellence in Laundry Conference Closes

Three-day event targeted veteran operators but didn’t forgo newcomers

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Today marks the close of this year’s Excellence in Laundry Conference and its opportunities to “learn, network with 200 of the best store owners in America, and meet one-on-one with leading industry companies,” according to the Coin Laundry Association.

The three-day CLA event targeting experienced, multi-store operators has focused on best practices and innovative solutions to scale a laundry business and increase productivity.

But the Association didn’t forget about investors just getting into the laundry business; there has been a separate track focused on them.

Presenters shared information on topics such as attracting and hiring good employees; multi-store management and maintenance; customer service; marketing; integrating new technology; and understanding the impact of wash-dry-fold on in-store customers.

CLA’s Sunshine State visit began Monday with the Excellent Women in Laundry Conference, a separate event. The Association created the Women’s Laundry Network as an effort to connect, collaborate, and empower women in the vended laundry industry. The full-day event included keynote speakers, panel discussions, roundtables and networking opportunities.
